Elizabeth R. Nesmith, MD

Dr. Nesmith was born and raised in Northwest Indiana. After completing her undergraduate and medical degrees at Indiana University, she moved to Atlanta in 2005 to attend Emory University for residency in Internal Medicine. During residency, she met her husband, Dr. Greg Nesmith, and together they decided to make Marietta, Georgia their permanent home. She became Board Certified in Internal medicine in 2008 and joined the Kaufmann Clinic in 2010.

The days she is not working, she is at home caring for her two sons. Dr. Nesmith has a strong interest in colon cancer research and has been both a presenter and co-author on the subject. Outside of medicine, Dr. Nesmith's passions include spending time with her family and being an active member of her community and church.

Dr. Nesmith cares for patients at the Woodstock office on Mondays, Tuesdays on Thursdays.
